April and Ben’s Wedding
April and Ben’s wedding was held at the Plano Chinese Alliance Church. Both April and Ben were in such good spirits and a genuine joy to be around. In fact ever one of their friends and family that we got the chance to meet and talk to were so friendly and kind, that we couldn’t wish for more of a blessing of people to be around for a day. Not to mention how nice it was to see some familiar faces, who we’ve been so lucky to either capture memories for or been acquainted with from past weddings. ^_^
Congrats to the happy couple and here are some of our favorites:

Ben got a lei instead of the traditional single flower.

Taking it easy before the ceremony

I’m not sure what he saw on the camera, but it must have been funny. ^_^

Apil and Ben had a slideshow telling their stories at the opening of the ceremony.

Woo hoo!

Time for the reception at the Hyatt Regency in Richardson. They even put a bow on the high-chair. ![]()

A quick portrait just before the reception began.

A long day?

April and Ben danced into the reception.

The rule of the evening, was that if you wanted the newlyweds to kiss, you had to come up and sing a Karaoke love song.

April and her parents put on a fun dance.

Lucy and Matt’s Engagement
We recently shot Lucy and Matt’s engagement session at White Rock Lake in Dallas, where they spend a lot of time running and enjoying the outdoors. Actually when we first met Lucy and Matt, they came full of enthusiasm and obvious love for each other. When we asked how Matt proposed to Lucy the story unfolded. They were running a marathon together and just short of the finish line, Matt started to slow down and pull Lucy aside. She said, she had no idea what was going on and was worried that he was not going to make the finish, only meters away. Well, Matt had a plan, and got down on one knee, busted out the ring, and the rest is history. ^_^ We are definitely excited to be capturing their wedding coming up in July.
Here’s a very cool photo one of their friends took of the actual proposal:

And here are our favorites from the engagement session! :

They brought balloons!
