SUE+ STEPHAN | WEDDING | KIRIN COURT

18 August 2011

“It’s about time!”, We heard Sue and Stephan’s family and friends said. They’ve been dating for the last 10 years. They are now married and we have all these fun images to prove it ^_-.

We started off with a brief bridal party portrait in downtown McKinney. While Scott headed to Sue’s house for the girls’ touch ups and getting ready for Tea Ceremony, I went with the guys to Stephan’s house to get this clan so we can come back to Sue’s house. Afterward, everyone went to Stephan’s house and had a second tea ceremony to welcome Sue to Stephan’s family.

They held their reception at Kirin Court in Richardson. It was an easy-going evening with their friends and family and some fun dancing. ^_^

Here are a few images from the day:

More of our favorites from their wedding here. Enjoy!!!

SARA + SIMON | RECEPTION | DALLAS

8 August 2011

Recently Scott and I photographed a cozy, intimate wedding reception of Sara and Simon in Dallas. They were relaxed and had a great time with their family and friends. We too of course had a wonderful time seeing familiar faces and mingling ^_^ One of the highlights is that we also got to meet our formal groom and bride Saeed and his wife Monica. What a treat?!

Sara’s parents’ home is gorgeous and the food from eatzi’s was incredible as well. Here are a few of our favorite images from their Dallas reception.

Warnings: there are a lot of smiling images, it may cause the viewers to smile along ^_-

We had a little time before all the guests arrived so we shot a few portraits of them around the house.

JAIMIE + JOSH | WEDDING | BEAUMONT RANCH GRANDVIEW TX

4 July 2011

Jaimie and Josh recently had their wedding out in Grandview TX at Beaumont Ranch. It was a pretty hot day in June, but the setting for the ceremony was beautiful during sunset and the emotion of the day for them pretty much made the outside temperatures fade away.

We’re so glad we were able to be there to capture the day for Jaimie and Josh and had a blast with them and all of their awesome friends and family.

Check out some of our favorites from the day:

This is Josh’s wedding gift to Jaimie. ^_^

Scott makes and appearance.

Jaimie was helping grandma get ready also.

They had some fun colors for the big day.

As the sun went down it made for some incredible window light.

A quick window light portrait.

Jaimie and her dad compare their Converse just before walking downt he aisle.

Josh couldn’t hold back his emotions when he saw Jaimie for the first time.

They brought their guns out to the ranch for some sport shooting, and wanted a shot with all of them as well.

Not out typical wedding day prop… out with the flowers, in with the 12 gauges.

Jaimie and the girls switched to their soccer gear for a shot she wanted.

First dance.

Jaimie and her dad take the floor.

Josh and his mom.

Emotional speeches.

Josh’s brother really went for it!

Score!

Jaimie and her mom had a nice moment on the dance floor.

Last Dance.

STEPHANIE + DANIEL | WEDDING | REFLECTIONS ON SPRING CREEK

27 May 2011

Stephanie and Daniel recently tied the knot at The Reflections on Spring Creek in Plano. It was laid back and naturally we had a great time shooting. Here here… to another wonderful wedding we are glad to be a part of. Congrats to you both!!!

Let me let these photographs tell the story of the day:

Starting with the girls getting ready.

Just before the processional, I spotted Sienna and her daddy among all the guests.

Kristin watching her daddy getting married.

True shutter bug groom’s cake ;p

OK, that was impressively high.

Yikes! The gold bracelet pinched her… looks painful >_<

Create your own wedding album and Happy Anniversary!!!

21 March 2011

First of all, Happy 2nd Anniversary to Uyen and Ron! May you both have long healthy, sweet, awesome years to come.

As promised, I want to share what our clients do to the files they receive with their package. Uyen designed her own wedding album and shared a few images with us earlier. Of course, I couldn’t help but want to show off her album and how excellent of a job she did. Thanks for dropping it off, I am having fun reliving the day.

As times have changed a lot of people do not make or use photo prints anymore. So when we include our files completely color worked and ready to make prints, and then later learn that our couples do something fun with them, we’re all the more excited to see all the work we put into the photos being used and enjoyed as they were meant to be.

Here some shots of Uyen and Ron’s self made 12×12″ album with tons of big images. Very nice guys!

Ideas for a wedding day slideshow

15 March 2011

The other day Scott and I were talking about how blessed we are with what we get to do for a living. We talked about our clients and their weddings and what we get to shoot and the relationship we have with each couple. (THANKS for trusting us guys!!!)

We often talk about our experiences to each other and what we get to see and document at weddings. We ended up talking about high-resolution files, and since we offer high-res files with all of the packages we have we wonder what can you really do with the high-res files that we deliver? Aside from making your own prints from them, or making your own books online (another post on that coming soon ^_-), one idea is to use the files from your engagement or bridal session with us as a wedding day reception slideshow.

Alan and Lanie did just that, and had them running on a large projection screen during the beginning half of the evening’s reception so everyone could see. They however didn’t just have a running gallery in the background. They added something to their favorite shots that had everyone’s attention.

Alan’s father has a website dedicated to poetry, and he and a few of his friends dedicated each poem used in the images to the happy couple and had included their names into each poem.

We thought it was such a cool idea, and wanted to share their poems and the idea with you.

Las Colinas Wedding Portrait

Be on the lookout! We are going to start sharing these ideas and how people present their images at wedding or in their home. It’s going to be fun!

Till next time!!! XOXO

This celebration will be valid until Easter, after which point we will be launching our new pricing for the rest of the year. Book them now and use it any time before 2012!!!

Here’s some of our favorites of the little guy, as the day he was born was the best day of our lives aside from when we got hitched almost 12 years ago. ^_^

CARMELA + PETER | WEDDING | ST. MONICA

31 January 2011

What a way to start off 2011! We were honored to have been contacted by Peter back in August last year for a short notice opportunity to capture his surprise proposal to Carmela at the Dallas Arboretum. Luckily when they said they had decided to have the wedding locally in Dallas, as they both currently live in Ireland, we were available and jumped at the chance to work with them again.

Such a sweet couple, and a very cool church for the ceremony. Here are some of our favorites from the day and many thanks to Lyly from lylyphotography.com for helping out while Tem was in the last days of pregnancy with our son Luke (more on that in a post soon):

The poster rounds out the scene, as that is Carmela’s first and middle name. I wish we knew the story behind it though.

Carmela said Peter actually drew this of her.

Peter was is good spirits all day long.

St. Monica had awesome stained glass everywhere.

Carmela gave each of the girls a necklace as a gift.

The girls line up getting ready for the trip down the aisle.

The reception at the Hilton Garden Inn was intimate and super fun!

First Dance.

Ok, I have to mention their entertainment for the evening. Radu Cernat, “The Violin Guy” was a one man powerhouse of entertainment, and super amazing at the violin. The reception was super fun, and he made it even more unique.

Check out more of our favorites from Carmela and Peter’s wedding here.
